Proton Volkswagen Deal Call Off

The negotiations for Proton between Khazanah and two major international car manufacturers - Volkswagen and General Motors - have been called off.

They have been delay and delay for the tie up with foreign partner like Volkswagen(vw). I wonder why...

Finally, The Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said there would be no foreign partner for Proton for the time being as the national car manufacturer was showing signs of a turnaround.

Is Proton really making money and come back now? I personally don't think so. May it's just Proton Persona that helping Proton economy. Other Proton cars like Proton Savvy, Proton Saga, Gen-2, etc could not bring any good. The deal call off result the stock of Proton drop about 92sen that's consider high. Hope they really made the correct decision. All the best Proton.

I think Perodua is making more compared to Proton. Keep it up Proton. But I just wish that I could see Proton-Volkswagen Passat after they collaborate but too bad.

Ford Verve

The Ford Verve is a small car concept from Ford of Europe. It is expected to form the basis of the replacement for the current Ford Fiesta[1] and help Ford meet market demands for smaller, more fuel-efficient cars. [2] The production version will be sold in North America, Europe, and Asia. [3] The concept debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.[1]

The Verve continues Ford's Kinetic Design family styling theme, first seen on the Ford S-MAX.

Martin Smith, executive director of design for Ford of Europe, described the Verve as "a chic, modern and individualistic statement for a sophisticated, fashion-aware generation." The concept was created by a team of designers from Ford studios in Dunton, England, and Cologne, Germany.

Occupants are cocooned in a cabin trimmed in different hues of glove leather, with an array of modern multimedia conveniences at their fingertips.

The slick three-door hatchback features a panoramic glass roof, pillarless side glass, LED headlamps, high-mounted LED taillamps, integrated tailgate spoiler and dark-chrome lower diffuser with integrated center exhaust outlet.

The car rides on 18-inch low-profile tires mounted on two-piece, 12-spoke alloy wheels.

New Vios

On Friday night, after dinner at New Paris ss2, I went to watch Resident Evil with some of my friends in Mid Valley. Coincidently, there's a Toyota VIOS launching in the Mid Valley Exhibition Center (MVEC).

So we attended the launching. Below are some of the new VIOS from Toyota. Some commented that it's nicer compare to the older version of VIOS and vice versa. It's all depends on the person taste.

Nissan Altima.

The Altima (pronounced ALL-timah) is a mid-size car (formerly compact) currently being manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan, and is arguably a continuation of the "bloodline" that began with the Nissan Bluebird in 1957. It has historically been larger, more powerful, and more luxurious than the Nissan Sentra but less so than the Nissan Maxima. It competes with the Mazda 6, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Subaru Legacy, Mitsubishi Galant, Hyundai Sonata, Volkswagen Passat, and Ford Fusion.

In addition to North America, the Altima is available in the Middle East. In other markets, Nissan sells a related mid-size sedan called the Nissan Teana, built on the same FF-L platform.

Proton Persona mistake during launch

What a shame. Please look at the picture. It's taken during the launch of Proton Persona. How can this happen ? Malaysia Really Boleh ?

Really embarrassing. This is for Proton Pesona. It supposed to have one fuel gauge and one temperature gauge. Now this cluster got 2 fuel gauges.

Found in the launching car somewhere in Kuching. No wonder big boss mad.

Before the Persona was launch, it has alot of creative way of promoting this newly launch car ...
It had ads of the car shape but without reveal much ...
It had put the Persona in front of Damansara Cineleisure where the whole car was covered with box but you can peep thru some of the small hole ...
